Over Futile Odds3

林頌文 香港藝術學院主修繪畫 文字的力量遊走於其表面及隱喻象徵的意義之間。我的作品運用時間為創作媒介及物料，以愛的言語為創作文本。我們的認知感受，在時間的持續延綿中變化提升。作品通過文字和圖像的相互交錯，探討當觀者連繫及置身於時間之流，如何體驗身心於愛的浸淫，那沉鬱而歇斯底里的感受。LAM Chun Man, Tracy Hong Kong Art School major in Painting “Language operates between literal and metaphorical signification. The power of a word lies the very inadequacy of the context it is placed, in the unresolved or partially resolved tension of disparates...”(Robert Smithson 1967). My project aims to use time as process and material to explore the liminal space of language. Time arises in an awareness of duration in which our perception and value are being varied. To understand the meaning of language in durational time, it is not about the literalness but the transcend of the communication value. I would like to use the context of love to explore how we experience the essence of visceral emotion and desire through an engagement of time. By re-contextualizing and multiplying the words and images, a poetic space of imagination is provided for viewers to reinterpret the continuous intermingled relationship between language, art and affectionate experience.
