袁靜蕍 香港浸會大學視覺藝術院 香港狹小的住屋空間限制了我們的活動空間，想像力和創造力無形中亦同樣受制。狭隘的房間充滿著大大小小的傢俱，幾乎沒有喘息的空間。究竟傢俬除了實用以外和我們的關聯又是什麼？作品受至上主義和構成主義的美學概念啟發，以幾何抽象繪畫方式展現單純的構圖表達。作者收集各類被棄置的傢俱，探討以舊傢私作新的藝術語言，追溯物料的歷史，強調時間的痕跡和回應提問。YUEN Ching Yu, Irene Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University The narrow living space in Hong Kong confines our movement within the apartment that limits our imagination and creativity. All kinds of furniture are stuffed inside the tiny room, that doesn’t even allow us to breath. What is the relationship between human and furniture? The artwork is inspired by the aesthetics of Supremacist and Constructivism, to present pure intension of the composition using shapes and forms. The artist collected furniture from the different dumpsites and investigate the language within the medium that has the ability to show traces of time and history of the ownership.
