在一个封闭的国度，一位科学家发现了一个政府不愿意让人民知道的秘密，并且公开宣布准备研究飞行器去证明自己的理论。政府的独裁者知道了科学家的理论后认为对自己的统治不利遂将科学家抓捕并处死，飞行成为了这个国度的重罪。科学家逃过一劫的儿子长大后改名换姓成为了一个年轻的工程师，他继承了父亲的遗愿，秘密地在研究飞行器。一次契机，他驾驶飞行器成功地通过了层层封锁，最终破穹而出，飞上天际......
In a closed country, a scientist discovered a secret that the government did not want the people to know, and publicly announced that it would study the aircraft to prove its own theory. After knowing the theory of scientists, the dictators of the government believed that they were unfavorable to their rule, arrested and killed the scientists, and flying became a serious crime in this country. The son who the scientist escaped from grew up changed his name and changed his name into a young engineer. He inherited his father’s wishes and secretly studied the aircraft. 《破穹》创作这个片子的几个同学们，就像这个片子的主角有着一样的野心。同时也是一种充满童真的野心。虽然未经世事，但也懂得辨别善恶美丑。良知作为一种最基本的叙事动力一直在推动着这个故事的发生发展。向往自由打破禁锢一直是人们恒久的主题，以这种主题进行创作也无可厚非，能够引起大家的共鸣，片子前半段一致在表露这个意愿。然而到了片子的后半段，他们给出了这样一种答案，一种他们的思维模式，对于压迫禁锢的解决方案，就是造一艘飞船进行逃离。哪怕是在逃亡的过程中，对那个向他们开炮的炮塔，也没有进行一丝丝的反抗还击，这是非常有趣的现象。现实无法改变，我们也不想改变，我们只想要离开，哪怕逃到无边的虚无之中。
