羽翼未豐2

「羽翼未豐」的創作意念最初源於我對蛋殼這種物料的興趣。蛋殼脆弱易碎，卻有強而耐壓的結構；它既是囚禁雛鳥之籠牢，又代表一種新的契機，是一種經過掙扎後終會被衝破的限制。這些聯想轉轉折折令我想起了拉着一群遷徙中的候鳥逃出星球的小王子。這件作品除了以另一角度詮釋這個場面外，也滲透着我對於這個城市所隱約彌漫着的「避世情意結」之反思。它呈現的是一種更荒誕和超現實的意象，代表一個天馬行空的逃走大計，一個因爲鳥蛋仍未孵化出飛鳥以無法實現之幻想。 “A Flight of Fancy” originates from my interest in exploring the physicality of an eggshell and its possibilities as an art material. Fragile yet strong, an eggshell can be associated with both confinement and breakthrough.​These thoughts have led me to recall a scene from The Little Prince, where the protagonist is said to have fled his planet with the help of migratory​birds. My work can encompasses my reflections on the escapism and claustrophobia subtly lingering among the people, including myself, living in this city. I picked some lines from seven different poems about migratory birds and pair them up with a dozen of ‘wounded’ eggshells, which were tied in with a pair of shoes and two pieces of watercolour drawings. Altogether they illustrate a surreal and fantasized escape plan which is yet to be made come true as those eggs remain unhatched.
