许芷玮,1996生,作品关注感官,尤其对嗅觉和视觉最感兴趣,探讨感官与感知的边界。而近期作品利用光学和幻象探讨视觉的限制,创作在艺术与科学之间游走。作品形式多以光、化学品、影像、动态影像为主。许期望透过视觉主导的创作媒介去引起非常态的视觉感官讨论。作品曾于多个国家展出,包括Zone Out (南韩,2019)、三个景像(香港,2018)、北德鸟(香港,2018)、Invisible(香港,2018)、平面之上(香港,2018)、Fremd | HBKsaar Rundgang(德国,2017)、翻阅相像:摄影纸本艺术节2016(香港,2016)。
Hui Gi Wai (1996) primarily creates workexploring our senses, especially sightand smell. Echo’s work investigates theboundaries of the senses and perceptionwhile crossing disciplinary lines into therealms of science. She is currentlystudying the limitations of our visualsense and makes use of optics andillusion to question reality. She oftenworks with light, chemicals, images andmoving images. Echo hopes to arousediscussion beyond normative sight usinga sight dominated medium. Her work hasbeen exhibited internationally in selectedgroup exhibitions including Zone Out(South Korea, 2019), Tri-Pho (Hong Kong,2018), Bak1 Dak1 Niu5 (Hong Kong, 2018),Invisible (Hong Kong, 2018), Plane Stories(Hong Kong, 2017), Fremd | HBKsaarRundgang (Germany, 2017) and PhotoMatters: Book and Print Festival 2016(Hong Kong, 2016).
