刘菁儿现就读澳洲皇家墨尔本理工大的艺术文学学士，主修雕塑。她的作品以木及木屑为主要创作媒介，发明不同「可再生」物料。作品关注人文生活、自然关系、社会议题，从中探究不同的「幸福指数」，思考传统工艺与当代生活科技的连接。2018年作品在香港人权艺术奖获许审奖，同年作品在AffordableArt Fair Young Talent 展出，2016年获得台北艺术自由日作品优选奖，2015获「高级文凭最佳作品奖 (雕塑)」。作品在香港、台湾及澳门展出。 Cathleen has been studying Bachelorof Fine Arts with a major in sculpture inRMIT University. Her works have beeninventing different \"renewable\" materialsandfocusing on the usage of wood andsawdust being the main medium in hercreative work. Her works are concerningon the felictous relationships to humanlife, discovering different ‘Tension Index’among individual, community, nature andsociety. Also, thinking about theconnection between traditional crafts andcontemporary science and technology tolife. She awarded 2018 Human Right ArtPrize, Directors Choice Award and thesame year two of her works wereexhibited in Affordable Art Fair YoungTalent project. In 2016, she was awardedwith Merit Award in Taipei Art Free Fair,and in 2015 was awarded “The BestArt Work (Sculpture) ”in Hong Kong ArtSchool. Her works have been exhibited inHong Kong, Taiwan and Macao.
